All rainwater harvesting systems, no matter the size, are made up of the same primary components.
These components include:
- An above ground collection surface - most commonly a roof
- Gutters
- Conveyance piping - the pipes that carry the water to your pre-filtration and storage system
- Tank pre-filtration
- Rainwater storage tank
- Pump system - some systems may not require a pump
- Additional filtration and/or water treatment components - depending on the application
