All rainwater harvesting systems, no matter the size, are made up of the same primary components.
These components include:

  • An above ground collection surface - most commonly a roof
  • Gutters
  • Conveyance piping - the pipes that carry the water to your pre-filtration and storage system
  • Tank pre-filtration
  • Rainwater storage tank
  • Pump system - some systems may not require a pump
  • Additional filtration and/or water treatment components - depending on the application
